The Team

Your Host . . . Dave Nelson

Growing up in north central Wisconsin on a dairy farm, my parents raised ten children. I had 4 older brothers and 5 sisters, and my parents had limited time to teach hunting skills. I had to learn to hunt on my own. Living in the country on a dairy farm made things easier. I loved the outdoors and started hunting at a very young age.

When I turned twelve I shot my first buck with my Bear recurve bow and the passion just grew. I can't leave out the fact I always had hounds; at one time I had eleven hounds raccoon hunting all night. We ran coyotes, black bears, bobcats, and fox, I love listening to a good hound work.

In 1989 I patterned and shot a 150 class 8 pointer and have been possessed with big bucks since. 1989 was also a good year; I met my wife Christine who also loves to hunt. Now I live in the great state of Iowa were I enjoy filming my wife Christine and son Jordan and friends hunting, and of course Hosting Timberline Wild Adventures Outdoor Television.

Good Hunting,

Dave Nelson

Your Host . . . Christine Nelson

Born and raised in Northern Wisconsin my parents and family ran Silva's Lakeview Resort and Supper Club. With all of the duties and work involved in running a year around resort no one in my family ever hunted. So, in 1989 along came Dave. On our second date he took me "bear baiting" for one of his clients....Romantic, huh? Dave had just opened his taxidermy business and before I knew it I became Mrs. Dave Nelson--Taxidermist. Living and working with Dave I grew to really enjoy hunting. My first experience was a spring bear hunt in Saskatchewan. My heart was pounding when the bears showed up and I was hooked!

Host Jordan Nelson

Hi,

With several whitetails harvested, this is my first Boone & Crockett with the bow. I also enjoy running the camera, and of course fishing. As the Host of Ghostblind Extreme Kid's I encourage all kid's to get out hunting, and enjoy the outdoors.

Team Member Jason Ritter

I was born and raised in Nora Springs Iowa. My passion for hunting started as a young child. My Dad Charles Ritter took me hunting every chance he had. From teaching me how to shoot a bow, to that first yelp on a turkey call, to the ways of the woods. These important steps led to the harvest of my first turkey, and deer.

Every detail of those fist hunts still fresh in my mind. The time my dad spent with me started a strong bond between us and the outdoors. As I grew a little older, and the loss of my father. I had Uncles and friends that took me under there wing, and continued taking me hunting until I was ready to do it on my own. Now I look back at all the important people in my life who have got me to where I am today. Thank you.

There will always be those special places I like to re-visit every year. Like the poping of a fire in turkey camp, hearing that first crisp gobble of a wild turkey in north east Iowa, stoping by Hoot's place to talk turkey, hearing that dull grunt of a buck chaseing a doe on a November morning.

These are just a few. Now as an adult I have a wonderful growing family of my own to share the great outdoors with, word's can't describe it. God willing I will pass down what has been passed on to me. Happy Hunting.

Team Member Greg Handrahan

I was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan(Marquette) and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. My passion for hunting started in Arizona learning the art of calling in Coyotes and Javelina' in with my Circe calls and using balloons as well.

I Was very fortunate to harvest my first Mule Deer Buck at 19 years old and this kick started my passion to hunt Deer in North America I have been fortunate enough to hunt some of the most beautiful and animal rich parts of the United States.

I am now a resident of Illinois going on almost 23 years and feel blessed to be able to hunt the Midwest for some of the largest and most abundant Whitetails anywhere in the world.

Through cooperation and a shared desire to manage and grow large Whitetails in Northwestern Illinois where I hunt, the local residents and myself continue to try and improve hunting opportunities to allow the passionate hunter to harvest that "Buck of a lifetime".

I enjoy guiding and taking out our youth to help them learn this wonderful sport in which we have the luxury to participate in, and need to teach and pass it on to them.

My passion is to get out and hunt primarily during the archery seasons whether it be Kansas, Wisconsin, Arizona or Illinois. I will always be fascinated with the peacefulness and thrill of being in the woods and fields chasing that elusive Whitetail or calling in that hot Gobbler.

My wife and kids play a large role in my being able to hit the woods(not to mention my real job!) when that magical time of year hits. And being able to hunt for Timberline and be a part of their TEAM is a bonus for me with all of the hard work and effort put forth necessary to continue to learn and grow in this wonderful world of Hunting.
Enjoy : Greg "The Hammer" Handrahan
